I’m Kirsten Bohn, a full-funnel digital marketing consultant based in San Clemente, California. I help growing businesses turn scattered marketing into one system that actually works: Search ads, Meta ads, SEO and conversion rate optimization, run by the person who does the work rather than handed to whoever has capacity.

I learned this craft inside large lead generation companies and agencies, high-volume environments where you find out quickly what actually moves a number and what just fills a report.
It wasn’t until I moved into startups that I saw the gap. That’s where Kirsten Bohn Growth Performance Strategy was born.
I work with companies that want more than clicks. They want clarity, control and scalable results. Whether you’re starting from scratch or untangling underperforming campaigns, I make digital marketing understandable, actionable and profitable, aligning acquisition with UX, sales and operational realities.
I kept landing at companies that were ready to grow and had hired an agency to help. The pattern was almost always the same.
The senior strategist showed up for the pitch. Then the account went to a junior buyer running a standard template: the same structure applied to a home services company, a SaaS product and a senior care provider, with no real understanding of their margins, their sales cycle, or what a good lead actually meant to them.
Here’s the part nobody talks about: the agency model quietly assumes you have someone in-house to manage the agency. Someone senior enough to keep them aligned, catch drift and know which questions to ask. Larger companies have that person. The companies I worked with usually didn’t, so nobody was checking, and the account slowly optimized for the agency’s convenience instead of the business’s growth.
More recently I’ve watched agencies layer AI and automation on top of that same model. But automation applied without direction just produces the standard template faster.
So I built the thing I kept wishing those companies had: someone senior who does the actual work, asks the questions that keep the strategy tied to the business, and owns the whole funnel, because the answer is rarely in the ad account alone.
What a qualified lead is worth to you. Where margin actually lives. What your sales team does with a form fill at 9pm. Strategy that isn’t anchored to those answers is guesswork with a dashboard on top.
Awareness, consideration, conversion. Paid media, SEO and CRO aren’t separate problems, and splitting them across three teams is how things fall through the cracks.
Video and creative production aren’t my specialty. When you need that, I’ll point you to a specialist or help you find a solution that fits your budget, rather than quietly billing you for work I’m not the best person to do.
You get the dashboards, the documentation and the reasoning. If you outgrow me and bring this in-house, it should keep working without me.
I’ve been invited by Google to take part in 1:1 feedback sessions with their platform engineers, which gives me insight into the intent behind their AI systems.
That knowledge shapes how I manage campaigns. Your budget isn’t a testing ground for platform experiments. It’s a precision tool for purposeful, efficient and scalable growth.
With a degree in Business Operations and Logistics, I began by managing all revenue-generating operations at one of the largest U.S. Marine Corps bases, where I earned my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and applied operational discipline to maximize efficiency and drive growth.
I joined a small startup serving a niche Department of Defense market. By automating processes, protecting profit margins and architecting their first digital marketing strategy, I helped grow the company from $300K to over $3M in the first year.
During that rapid scale I discovered the hidden superpower of data-driven marketing. Marketing isn’t just ads. I leaned in fully, building high-performance marketing systems that don’t just generate clicks, they drive measurable, scalable revenue.
After the pandemic I applied this efficiency-first mindset to healthcare groups and agencies, specializing in messy growth challenges where data gets lost and revenue leaks, then moved into lead generation in regulated industries.
The strategies I bring aren’t theoretical. They’ve driven measurable growth across financial services, education and affiliate-driven businesses.
See a few examples of what that looks like in practice →The grit I bring to your ROI isn’t just professional, it’s personal.
My strategy is built on discipline, technical precision and staying calm when the stakes are high.
As an Ironman triathlete and marathoner, I know sustainable growth is a long game. I don’t chase hacks. I build systems that last to the finish line.
As a Six Sigma Green Belt, I’m obsessed with removing friction. If there’s a bottleneck in your sales funnel, I’ll find it and fix it.
Excellence is a moving target. I’m constantly mastering new platforms, coding and strategies to bring practical, advanced solutions to your business.
I started my career as a Firefighter/EMT. In a crisis, I don’t panic, I troubleshoot. That calm matters when ad spend and outcomes are on the line.
As an avid yogi, I believe in focus and intention. I’m not here to help you do more. I’m here to help you do the right things with clarity.
I find balance with my family: boating, skiing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, surfing, golfing and exploring nature whenever we can.
Say what you mean, mean what you say, and own mistakes.
The right way isn’t always easy, but it lasts.
Stay curious, listen closely and embrace better ideas.
Every strategy session here comes with a little supervision. These two keep me honest about breaks, walks and keeping things in perspective.

Director of Morale. Calm, loyal and always ready for a beach walk once the campaigns are running smoothly. You can usually find this gentle giant providing silent emotional support during deep dive strategy sessions, or patiently snoozing next to the turntable while a George Harrison record spins in the office.

Head of Security. Small in size, big in opinions. Toby takes the doorbell very seriously and considers a vigorous bark his ultimate daily KPI. When he's off duty, you can find this gray ball of energy lounging in a San Clemente sunbeam or waiting patiently to interrupt the next Zoom call.
